Each year Johnson Ferry Baptist Church of East Cobb invites seniors from 12 assisted living centers across East Cobb to gather for a special ball.  The Big Band at Johnson Ferry performs with more than 25 pieces, and plays favorites from Glenn Miller, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Andrews Sisters, while the seniors dance with church volunteers.  The attendees dress up in their party best, and look forward to this event every year.  It is truly a wonderful experience to watch everyone enjoy good music and the company of others while remembering the good live jazz of their youth.  Tom performs solo piano as a warm up act, during intermission, and at the conclusion.
